I must say that I am very disappointed but not surprised by Lifetime's attitude.  However, it could be a blessing in disguise.  We really need a different network to pick up this show if we want to continue to have the sow aired and supported.  Lifetime would be little help even if they did renew the show.  I think that focusing on F/X and Sci-Fi is an excellent idea.  Count me on.  Let's get our beloved show picked up by someone worthy of it and it's fan base.

I emailed FX ,SciFI and TNT about picking up Blood Ties.
I have to agree that I think FX would be a great home for Blood Ties.  TNT is willing to take gambles and BT would fit on SciFi, but neither of those networks seem to commit long term very easily. I think FX would give Blood Ties a fair chance and promote/support it. Wink

Can't say I mind leaving Lifetime...

Well this is a slightly less then happy way to start my morning, but thanks for letting us know all the same!
It's good to know that we should be concentrating our effort elsewhere and at least lifetime has finally made a decision, unstead of just continuing to string us all along for months.
When I think about it, I"m really not that surprised. Lifetime seemed to have abandoned BT from pretty much the start so why should they change their attitude and fight for it now? It's up to us fans!
Lets reconcentrate our emails, letters and all that on the new networks that will see the greatness and potential of BT!
From what I've heard the Canadian networks are more then willing to get a new season but want a US network to help foist the bill! lets see if we can't make that happen!

I'm away with my family for a trip this weekend and just logged on to see what's been happening and found out about this.  Sad

I've sent an email to the folks at Kaleidoscope Entertainment with the hopes that they are in a position to give us some feedback.  Either way, I stressed again how committed and organized the fan base is so that we're here as a resource for them to help with their efforts to find another network.

sorry to had to come on to such news!
If you hear anything from Kaleidoscope about what networks they might be hopeful about please post it here so that we can contact them also! Show TPTB that Blood Ties fans are willing to fight for their show and are a strong devoted fan base!

I 'am not surprised at their decision either just like everybody else
said they really didn't do any thing much to help the show when it
was airing on there network why would they keep it on to bring more
fans or renew it. I like the idea of looking in to getting another network
to pick it up sci-fi, f/x and T-N-T is great lets do it and see what happens.

From what I understand they will probably keep the web episodes up.  Lisa Williams was canceled 6 months ago and her web episodes are still up.  Who knows with lifetime.  Sad

That's what I don't understand. If they don't care enough about a show to keep it on the air, why keep it on their web site? On the flip side, if they are going to have it on their web site then they need to keep it on air, especially shows like Blood Ties, when they know how large and vocal the fan base is.

I suppose they can keep them up until another network might pick up BT.  I hope they do leave them up.  It is still exposure for the show.  But what you said make a lot of sense Kady about Lifetime not making sense with what they are doing.

In my opinion, Lifetime rarely makes sense, but like I said, at least the BT eps are still there, and for that reason alone I can't bad-mouth them - much.
